Disposable Heroes spawned a whole mess of groups; Spearhead obviously being
one of the better known ones. Charlie Hunter of BlueNote's Charlie Hunter
Trio is also a Disposable Hero graduate as well as Simone White who has a few
singles out on compilations but no record deal as of yet. Charlie's first
major record effort is with Blue Note (as I mentioned before) and is called
Bing Bing Bing! Simone was the old disposable drummer who is concentrating on
his own thing. Rono Tse is doing a bunch of hip hop producing stuff I
believe, but I'm not that familiar with his stuff whereas Simone and Charlie
are friends about town. I do jazz event production for a team called
BlueVision in San Francisco. Check us out when in town. We will soon be
releasing a compilation of local SF stuff in Europe. I'll keep you posted.
