i doubt funky people is the comp you are looking for.
you probably already have it- if you don't get it.
i can recommend this strongly as i would few other
funk cds. part 1 is just amazing, and despite...

i have seen these available domestically for 11.99
for more than a year.

on the strength of hearty recommendations from this
list i recently bought "blue break beats" vol. 1 from
blue note and was rather disappointed. its much
more jazzy in a seventies way than i expected- funky
jazz, yes but not jazzy funk. the beats were pretty
weak. and its very organ heavy. there are a number
of very good tracks, but i just thought one non-
ecstatic review was in order.

can someone tell me more about the rebirth of the cool
compilations? i haev vol. 2 and it is truly
excellent. i think its the domestic vol. 2. what
exactly are the differences between the imported
and domestic versions? i have found vol. 1 difficult
to locate- is it out of print?

does anyone else think tranquility bass's "they came
in peace" samples the theme music from "Terminator
2"?

was royalties overdue intended to reflect a different
aspect of mo wax than headz- i liked royalties
overdue much more. will headz 2 resemble headz 1
or just mo wax's recent productions?
