Cor blimey Guv'nor,
Yes indeedy, we needy more latin. It's just sooo difficult to get good
info and sounds, with the exception of SNC, I find it really hard to get
any access at all away from London. I am resigned to the occasional
compilation; Talkin' Loud's 'Brazilica', and Blue Note's 'Blue Brazil'
are particular faves for the more commercial end of the latin
spectrum. Otherwise it's limited to word of mouth communication,
and expensive forays into the specialist music shops. I'm in deepest
darkest Plymouth, in the SW of the UK, and the closest we get to latin
is the occasional track played by guest DJ's, or surrounded by 2
James Brown tracks and Hotstepper by Ini Kamoze. So if anyone has
any recommendations, please forward them, I would be most
appreciative,
See ya
Simon
