Haven't had time to do a thorough listening yet, but I like it so
far. A bit more laid back than I'd hoped for, and Hunter's guitar
sounds like an organ on most of the tracks (which isn't necessarily
a bad thing -- guess it's the next step in Frisellian guitar stylings),
but seems nice enough. The Nirvana cover's not bad either -- nice
rhythm reworking -- although I think I'll like it better in a few
years when I haven't heard any version of the song in a while.
(In general, I tend to dislike jazzed covers of pop songs, but
Hunter's pulled off more than a few.)

I liked the bits I heard off the Karl Denison LP better, but I've
heard even less of that.

Other recent new LPs to check out: Roscoe Mitchell, Kahil El'Zabar,
and the new record from Conjure (a Kip Hanrahan project -- if anyone
doesn't have a copy of Hanrahan's "Exotica", shame on you).
