First- thanks to Kevin for being an example of why this list is so much
better than 90% of the other ones out there. Respect....

Bunch of "new" CDs in at the station the other day. Finally found Tricky
(which has been out since May) in the "Rock section".... I guess I need
to broaden my horizons... I liked some of the numbers, but that
repetetive use of lines which was original in Blue Lines gets worn thing
here. Also, it seems that Tricky is waaay too stoned most of the time.
Sorry- I was sick when I listened to it, and I was crabby. :-(

The new Omar is in on domestic "For Pleasure"- lots of soulful love songs
with funky organs and shit. Nice eyebrow ring, and anyone else catch the
words on the window? (something along the lines of "Do not enter if you
are shocked by sexual things"....*something* like that....)

Incognito's "100 degrees and rising" is cool, but I still wouldn't go out
and buy it. His style works for a lot of people, but not me. Polished
soul, but not enuff funk.... :-(

Guru's "Respect the Architect" with Bahamadia is a nice laid back
number. Good jazz vibe without that "soloist over sampled beats" feel of
Jazzmatazz 1....

New Dream Warriors is out too, if anyone cares.....

Also- on the sample tip- I never figured out what they were saying on
the Kruder and Dorfmeister "High Noon" until someone called up and asked
for the name of the song that sampled "Blue Moon" (You say me standing
alone.... Duh...). And if anyone really wants, I can dig through the
UFO "No sound is too taboo" and tell you were they jacked half their
rythyms from....

Speaking of which- nice to see Linda Muriel is making a comeback after
being dumped by BNH (so I gathered). She's featured on UFO's album, the
Talbot and White album, and places which elude me right now....

Oh yeah- T-shirts still on sale. :-) Mark A., Dino R., M. Liu, Reginald
H. and one last person's name I can't remember- I haven't forgotten about
you- the shirts go out today... :-) XXL *still* available, and as far as
I know, there have been no shrinkage/ fading problems either. They are
*really* cool. Buy one. ;-)

(Also, I'm willing to unload them *all* for a discount to anyone who
wants to pick up the rest of the selling.... You'd probably end up making
a little money, but you'll need about $500. The *only* reason I'm
willing to do this is that it's taking a while to sell the shirts, and
I'm leaving Aug 5th- I'll be on the road for almost 3 months. If
everyone can wait that long, so be it.....)
