--Tappan Zee/Columbia just re-released all of his albums from the '70s. James
was a great arranger (he arranged most the albums he played on). Some very
interesting and experimental stuff can be found on his stuff. Lots of nice
sounds, no wonder he's a current favorite among hip-hop people to sample.

Yeah! He wrote the theme song for the TV show TAXI. He also played those
funky organs on Idris Muhammad's POWER OF SOUL album - smoooooooth! Makes
for good driving music at night. Does anyone know of other stuff he has
recorded like this? Thanks.
