Check out T.J. Kirk if you can! I Saw them at the Elbo Room in Chicago and
they were jammin'. They play jazz and R&B funk, in most any musical style.
Ever heard Thelonius Monk as Metal, with lots of power chords? They play
a mesh of everything, blending it in during the process, of a song. The
metal monk turns into James Brown's "You Can Have Your Watergate, but Give
Me Some Bucks and I'll Be Straight." They don't play necessarily AJ, but
they do a great job of putting some funk into the old jazz and R&B
classics. It is basically a funky jam session.
