"Spoonin' Rap" was on my wants list for many years before I finally found it
for pennies!

I've heard it said that Sweet T's "It's My Beat" was the first to sample JB,
or was that just the Funky Drummer loop? Can't remember whether The
Godfather or It's My Beat was released first, though it must've been close
(damn it's hard when 80% of your vinyl's on another continent!).

Just heard that George Clinton & The P-Funk All Stars are playing this
friday in the Baby Dome here in H-Town (Houston). Has anyone seen them
recently? I have their first L.P. & love it, would you recommend?

If you're into your electronica, check out "Ocean" by Zephyrus on Sound
Information, I believe this is a U.K. release. It's a classic. If you dig
Global Communication, FSOL or David Holmes, get this.

Does anyone know if the #3s in the Excursions series are out on Mo'Wax yet?
If so, any comments?

I was listening to BDP's "By All Means Necessary" the other day and noticed
the line "Keyboard Money Mike, he's down with us" in "I'm Still #1". I
wonder if he's any relation to Mark!?

Peace n Laters
