Acid Jazz is an English record label based in london. They release, as
I'm *sure* you all know, artists such as Corduroy, Mother Earth, JTQ, and
earlier on, Jamiroquai and even Galliano. Therefore, by defenition,
Jazzmatazz is not Acid Jazz.

Acid Jazz has been taken as a term to describe a musical style. This is
like someone saying that they like EMI music - it can't be done. The only
reason so many people get away with saying that they like Acid Jazz is
that for the most part, so many of the AJ releases are in the same genre.
Acid Jazz (the label) have, however, worked on many projects that digress
from what many of us would call the Acid Jazz sound (Dread Flimstone,
Cloud Nine (never released)).

Still, thousands of people use the term all over the world, and I expect
it will stick.

Keep groovin
