Hey hey,

As a bass freak, I'm pretty hip to who's who out there. I have
every Crusaders album I could find and I don't remember Alphonso playing on
any of them. Saxman Wilton Felder did most of the bass playing along with
Pops Popwell and Chuck Rainey. "Put It Where You Want It" is from
"Crusaders 1" (1972) - Chuck on bass.

Check out "Cosmic Reign" from "Images" (1978) for some nice basswork in an
equally nice tune from a terrific Crusaders album. Bad, Bad, Bad-ass
Jazz-Funk.

Hey Chris,

FWIW, I looked long and hard for Nancy's album, "Life, Love and
Harmony" (1979) with the song, "Sunshine", and checked out many along the
way. She has a lovely voice but that album was the tightest of the bunch.
None of the others, past or present, compares.
