Not to continue a dead issue, I have to disagree with Jeff on this one. I
fully believe that Fingers came on here strut his stuff, push his own
agenda, and to attempt to piss some people off. It only takes reading 2 or
3 posts on this list to see that the pervading atmosphere of the acid jazz
mailing list is one of respect and peaceful discussion. He was completely
disrespectful, and came out basically claiming that he and his opinions
were superior to those of anyone else. While I believe that the Internet is
a completely public thing, anyone has a right to participate, etc, there is
a limit to what's appropriate. He stretched that limit beyond the
boundaries.

I hope this isn't too negative, and that I'm not wasting bandwidth on the
issue, but I, for one, have had it up to the tip of my head with
disrespectful, selfish, obnoxious people. They confuse the issue, they
stretch patience, they digress from the main line, which is the music. I
commend the people that jumped on Fingers immediately for his attitude and
his negative posts. I only wish I had checked my mail earlier so I could
have joined in on the defense of what we stand for, which I believe is
understanding, respecting, and positively promoting diversity. Correct me
if I'm wrong.
