I would check out the Mad Professor at all costs, if you're into reggae and/or
deep dub. The last show I Heard about was in NYC last summer or fall and it was
just him, a mixing board, tracked tapes and a bottle of rum.

Rumor/True Story (??) about the show from someone who was there: At one point,
the bass reverb was so great that a woman's coat caught on fire that was stuffed
into one of the speakers.

Of course that could be complete bullshit, but it's not beyond the realm of
possibility. Either way, I'm not gonna miss this tour. He's playing in Boston
at Mama Kin's on April 30th, if I'm not mistaken.

p.s. A comparison between Tricky and the Mad Professor is futile. They're new
jacks and he's one of the true masters of the form. Tricky also absolutely
sucked live. If the floor wasn't so disgusting at the club, I would have taken a
nap right there....
