The L.T.J. Bukem double CD is called Logical Progression. It's on FFRR.
I've listened to this twice now, but it hasn't yet kicked in on me. There
is one track by Photek, "Pharoah", four by L.T. himself, and a slew of
other artists. Overall, I consider it to be experimental jungle vs. dancey
jungle. The L.T. tracks are all quite good; it's the other artists.

A jungle compilation I got recently that I am enjoying moreso than Logical
Progression so far (but who knows after more listens) is "Artcore 2".
The ballistic brothers, Adam F, Optical, the Alex Reece Remix of Cool Breeze
(this is on everything) are on it as well as others. It's what I call jungle
you can dance to.

Finally got the new Plug (WagonChrist/Luke Vibert/ whatever you wanna call
him) "drum n' bass for papa" on Angel records. I have very high expectations
for this guy unfortunately and as a whole I prefer Throbbing Pouch. However,
there are two songs on this CD that are excellent: the life of the mind
and subtle (in your face). These two songs are experimental; they take you
on a journey. A good bit of the other songs are quite repetitious which
is really rare for Luke and which I hate. That's one thing I like about
DJ Shadow; he keeps his songs twisting and turning.
_______
The other IZIT album is "Imaginary Man"; it has a lot of good songs on it (i.e.
You're Losing me and Mother of Mine). Overall, it's just as good if not
better than "The Whole Affair." If you like the first one, you'll like this
one, too.
_______
No. Ninjatune : Flexistentialism (The Joy of Dex) is different than ninja.
earthrise.2. I think we've discussed this before on this list. I have them
both and prefer and highly recommend Flexistentialism over Earthrise.

I just saw the Smokin Groove tour last week in Atlanta, Georgia U.S.A.
The lineup was Spearhead, Busta Rhymes, Tribe Called Quest, Fugees, Nas,
Cypress Hill, and Ziggy Marley. I missed Spearhead, but they're always good,
and that's who I really wanted to see along with Ziggy Marley. I had never
seen Ziggy live before; his whole band had a lot of energy. Good fun.

The Fugees had their normal energy level way up high, but there set had not
changed since last time I saw them with The Roots. Busta Rhymes not only
appeared in his set, but also The Fugees and Tribe. It was so funny to
see him pop up on stage from nowhere. I had seen Tribe before at the last
Lollapalooza and I was just as disappointed as before; They need a live band
or at least live drums or something. Cypress Hill was the worst; I dig
there albums, but live they are not exciting in my opinion of course. One
thing they had going for them was a live percussionist. Overall, The Fugees
and Ziggy Marley were the people to see.
