Completely (well, almost) agree about this LP - it's wonderful, though for
me "Heat" and "Margaret" are my favourite tracks at the moment.

I know some people here have complained that the version of "Dominican
Girdles" on the LP is vocal-only, but I really like this new(*) version -
her delivery is just _so_ cool.

BTW: I've heard another vocalist in a very similar (though by no means
identical) style - her name is Makita Morris, and she appears on Greg Osby's
"Black Book" LP. The track "Poetry In Motion" in particular is wonderful.
I've never seen anything else from her though.

* one thing that I couldn't help noticing about this LP is that nearly all
of it was recorded *two whole years ago*. It pisses me off quite a lot that
this LP has been sat on for so long. Record companies, huh? Maybe in another
two years we'll get to hear Chaka's Me'shell-produced LP, or *all* of
Bluey's George Benson sessions...
