On a link from the acid-jazz server (the link with "Gordan's War" for
sale) a CD/LP called "Chase Scene Vol.1" was mentioned. Does anyone know
anything about this CD/LP and where I could get it? Is it part of a series?

Thanks,
Zed

Some good soundtracks that I have that are worth getting:
"BLOW-UP": Herbie Hancock 1966 soundtrack to a pretty cool movie ("mimes
playing tennis") - has the sample to that Dee-Lite mega hit that we all
know and love

"Shaft in Africa": Johnny Pate (1973?) The best of the "Shaft" soundtracks,
with the funkiest opening theme around (which is also available on several
compliations - I've seen it on a Various Breaks and Beats LP and heard that
it's on other bootleg LPs)

"Slaughter's Big Rip-Off" & "Black Ceasar" James Brown ('73 & '72?)
"Slaughter's" is incredible, second only to "Superfly", it is consistently
funky and interesting etc.; "Black Ceasar" doesn't really have any good 'songs'
but it has a great "Chase" track, and two really moody tracks.

"Trouble Man" Marvin Gaye (c.'73 also I think) The "Trouble Man" theme song
was a big hit for Marvin and is a great song etc. The rest of the album is
instrumental (pretty much) and has a super funky song (#2) and two or three
moody monsters that are fun.

"Car Wash" (1976) A great double album of songs - every thing from uber-funk to great atmosphere. Fun all around.

That's enough for now...any suggestions/commentary by other people about these
or other soundtracks that rock (i.e. that are funky as hell)?
