Has anyone heard the new Ponteio single? It is amazing samba driven
electronic dance music (and on far out).
The new Negrocan is pretty amazing, too. (Isn't it great how amazed I am
at music?) What else?

Jungle! I can't believe I would ever love Jungle as much as I do now, two
years ago. (Is anyone still here from two years ago remember the I hate
Jungle thread...) The 4-hero Courtney Pine remix of I've Known Rivers
makes me happy on so many levels. The Tom Jenkinson remix of DJ FOOD's
"Scratch Yer Head" off refried food 3 & 4 truly pleases. Incredibly hard
breaks break into an ambient soul-driven chord progression a la Quincy
Jones' "The Dude" LP. Beautiful. HIDDEN AGENDA on Metalheads, too. Their
new one, The Wedge (at least it's new on these shores), is divine.

With all the great HipHop, Jazz, Jungle and Latin Music being made
these days, I'm amazed I can pay the rent.

Tell me if it's just me but 1996 might be the best year this decade for
groove music.

P.S. Anyone who hasn't heard Lemon D.'s THIS IS L.A. yet? Give it a listen.
G. Funk Era Jungle. Smart.

P.P.S. I just heard the new PHOTEK - "U.F.O." best yet. samples of two
guys chasing a UFO with thunderingly dark breaks.

P.P.P.S. BTW, please don't flame me about the huge Jungle content.
This list has always been about good music from Miles and Monk to Galliano
and Goldie to Palmskin and Photek to U.F.O.

Later.
