Speaking of Carlos S. (not quite Acid Jazz, but great improvisation) I
think one of my favorites is "Caravanserai". Not too sure if that falls
into the "First Three" category, but I don't think so. This particular album,
while showing off Carlos' prowress with the axe, seems to bring out the great
percussion of the band more so than any of the others....Not to mention, it
brings back a great memory for me.

I lived in Tucson for about a year many moons ago. This house had a
cool patio in the shade that overlooked the Tanque Verde Valley in East
Tucson. I'd play that album, make a tall pitcher of Margaritas...smoke,
drink and just lay out and watch the heat rise off the desert floor in
the 110 degree heat with the Catalina Mountains as a backdrop. Made for some
great hallucinations too :)
