...at Moondoggies. Sorry if I told a bunch of you to go to
the Green Circle last night. Don't know why, but Karl Denson
didn't play there. I don't think the bar has re-opened yet.
For those not in the know, the Green Circle Bar had to close
down for a minor legal violation (I think it was for serving
a beer to a couple guys in the Greyboy Allstars AFTER 2:00am.
What a pathetic city we live in.) Coincidentally the bar is
under new ownership this month.
So Karl Denson is playing with his band tonite at a
different venue. Note - he is not playing with the Allstars
tonite, but with his other jazz band. The one that just released
"Baby Food" preceded by "Chunky Pecan Pie". It should be
a rare treat for us in San Diego. It's usually just our friends
in Germany, Holland and Italy who get to see this live.

ps - The Greyboy Allstars still aren't playing locally because
Elgin Park (on guitar) is recording in the studio with another
band at the moment. They'll be back at the Green Circle next
week, but then they won't be in San Diego for about another
month. Not cause Elgin is recording, though, but because they're
making the East Coast tour at SOBs and Knitting Factory - among
other places.

I heard the Allstars played some great shows in the San Francisco
area this past week - sold out 5 out of 6 shows. Anyone see any
of the shows - except for Tim?!
