yes, having been ebg's biggest fan, it is wierd to work at their record
label and see that after all this time, they are up on the charts --having
been in the top ten dance singles in the u.k. for the last six months and
here in the states as well. and their album, "amplified heart," whose
sales skyrocketed as a result of their "missing" single release is now #57
this week on the soundscan/billboard top 200 current albums. for the
longest time, i couldn't understand why tracy thorn's talents had gone
unoticed by the american population, but her efforts have finally paid off.
our publicity dept. is clear out of ebg materials because ebg is doing so
well...so well that their new album which has been completed has been
bumped and will not be released on time as planned. they won't release it
until the sales for "amplified heart" and "missing" go down.
regarding style council, i read something in the current issue of "on the
one" magazine about how there is now a newsletter for paul weller fans. it
gives an address that you can mail away to get information/subscriptions
from.
