A Quincy Jones moment...

Visited the Goodwill's record department this past weekend and found the
Quincy Jones gem _SmackWater Jack_, which contains the theme from
"Ironside" -- I knew I'd heard that bass line before -- why yes, it's on
the Future Sound of Jazz, vol. 2, track 7, "Sides of Iron" by Chaser.

Amongst a couple other TV themes, the LP also features "Hikky-Burr" (Theme
from The Bill Cosby Show), with mad scattin' vocals by Bill himself. The
cover art alone was worth my $2.99 -- Quincy's on the front, his shirt is
masked out and a pastoral scene with embossed grass and trees has been laid
in -- wacky! -- and the gatefold is an African-robed QJ, fists clenched,
standing arms outstretched in a field.

Peace ya'll, pete.
