Most definitely acid jazz, in the traditional sense. In case
this hasn't been mentioned before, I would like to point out
that the US version of the above-mentioned album has been re-
mixed to the point of muzak. The original UK version, however,
is much better. There's also a special UK edition that comes
with an extra live CD, but I didn't feel like forking out the
extra cash for that one, so I can't say whether it's worth it
or not.

If you like Heavy Shift, you might want to check out some of
the earlier albums on the Acid Jazz label, or some of the
Instinct releases with the "This is Acid Jazz" label on them.
