Well, in theory, the actual production cost of a CD (in industry figures) is
actually $1.35, though if you want just one CD made off your master tape at
a mastering/duplication company It'll cost you much, much more (to the point
where it's not really worth it).

With the advent of CD-R drives, though, you can get it done for just the
$7-$12 for the blank CD-R to make a master, if you know someone with a CD-R
drive.
