"I'm glad
Freakpower didn't
make it to Number
One, otherwise, I
might be tempted
to think I'm quite a
clever chap when, in fact, that
couldn't be further from the
truth. But I am going for a place
in The Guinness Book Of
Records - for having had the
most Top 40 hits under different
names. If Fatboy gets in there,
that'll be seven - a new record! "

- Norman Cook - ye shall know him by
many names...

OK, so here's the trivia can you name the other 6??????

Let's get you started:

Housemartins
Beats International
Freak Power

(I know several other names Norman Cook has recorded under but don't
exactly know for sure the other three--but I think I have a good guesses).

" You never forget your first
shag and The Housemartins was
me losing my virginity. I'd
always wanted to be on Top Of
The Pops and play at
Glastonbury, and they're highs
that I don't need to experience
again. But The Housemartins'
music was complete rubbish as
far as I was concerned. I was just
a jobs-worth bassist, I guess. "

- Norman: not House proud

Peace,

P. S. Oh yeah, the acid jazz stuff

Still loving the Wiseguys *Executive Suite*
Thought the Compost "Lytic Cocktail" compilation is quite good especially
the Beanfield track *Charles* (I know this is late but it was just released
in the U. S. on that unnamable label as *Tune In, Plug In something or
other--vol. 4").
I am putting Tosca's "Fuck Dub" on many a cassette and everyone I know is
digging it from age 1/2 to 60.
Need to get out to get the new Mekon (any reviews?)
Seems like a lot of decent compilations are coming out but is that a good
thing? Cool music but scattered all over?
Loved the Kruder & Dorfmeister mix of Lamb's "Trans Fatty Acid"
Umm, what about those Lesser lads? Do they want to ruin my stereo?
Pick up Daft Punk (anywhere!)
Well the *Straight Outta Boone County* comp is pretty spiffy (oh wait,
that's not aj but you gotta love those Hazeldine harmonies!)
