well, people have been talking about this one for quite some time,
and I've been reading the dialogue in the archive on th eweb, so I
figured I might as well subscribe to this list so I can join in the
conversation (though Im sure a lot of you are tired of it by now).

enough already with slamming jeru. I think it's clear: he blows. WHo
cares about how intelligent his lyrics are? his attitude is awful. He's
overrated.

I saw this show a few weeks back in Arizona. Judging from the discourse
here, it's obvious that the shows from all acts concerned are pretty much
the same. No one here is discussing the phoenix show, but you're all
quoting directly from it.

anyways, DJ Shadow, he's pretty damn good, but it's true that his live act
is lacking. He played "Lost and Found" and a few from ENdtroducing and
they were virtually IDENTICAL to the albums. Why pay eighteen bucks if
all Im going to do is listen to the album?

Latyrx, I feel, has been getting a bum rap. THey were awesome! Sure, the
crowds aren't always with them, but that's just because no one knows who
thay are. BUt c'mon, they know what they're doing. AND, they freestyle
better than most other rap acts I've heard/seen. (jeru, by the way,
cannot freestyle for shit!) Besides loving the live show, I highly
recommend their album. THey have great lyrics, tight style, and creative
techniques.
all right, I've talked long enough.
scott!
