I'm a musician that's interested but I don't know if what I do would qualify
as Acid Jazz. I'll be happy to send out examples to anyone's FTP site (best
way for me is Realaudio). It's free (but groove based, kinda hard to
explain), entirely produced electronically, and very modal in approach.
Lots of polyrhythms and complex tuplet rhythms. Sort of Miles meets Coleman
meets Ra meets AJ. The closest thing I can think of to it is Zappa's
Xenocrony experiments (like Shut Up 'n' Play Yer Guitar). It's for
listening -- good chill stuff. Initially I wasn't going to offer it at all
because it breaks so many "dance music" conventions, but if it's new enough
sounding maybe someone related to it would be interested in it.

Lemme know ...
