Australia's 'Triple J', the National radio station, is getting into some
pretty cool stuff as well, though still quite rarely. I've heard DJ
Shadow, Leftfield, La Funk Mob, DJ Food, Propellerheads, plus a few
others.

This station experiments, but always falls back to what everyone wants,
which is the alternative rock stuff. But at least they try.

A recent album called 'Evolutionary Vibes' featuring some wicked
Australian tr*p-h*p, was pushed quite heavily on air and got quite a
buzz happening. So, the market is growing (not sure if I like the idea
of that, albeit slowly.

But, when major Insurance companies start using stuff like Leftfield in
their high-budget TV commercials, it's time to wonder what's going to be
the future for this music we love.

Marc.
