The bass line sample on Dr Octagon's "3000" (not the Automator
mix) is exactly the same as one on Greyboy's "Land of the Lost"
full length - i haven't the sleeve in front of me so I can't quote the
title of the song i heard it on, but it's really distinctive. Something
like:

Dum da dum da dummmm,da dah da dah da dah da dum da dum da dummm (repeat)

played on a bass guitar (methinks)

get it?? :),

Where did they get this from? Is it a greyboy original that the Dr copied
or does it go deeper than that?

I'd love to know ...

On a related note (sample-wise) I have heard of the Ultimate Breaks and
Beats releases that have many of the originals sampled by the breakbeat
community. Apparently there are ~10 volumes. Is this right? Can someone
help me sort out which ones I might like to get hold of? Are they full
tracks or just breaks?
