there was a similiar thread on the Kurzweil K2000 list just recently (the
dialogue got a little deeper, cause the K is a mad deep synth!)

if'n you want to make some of your own thumpin' bass/kick soundz check out
this little freeware program called stomper! writes mad droppin' bass
soundz to .wav
very simple prog. very deep results.

make a tone that goes from 1000hz to 5hz over a 3 second interval, add a
few more sounds on top of it to give some attack and COMPRESS THE SHIT
OUTTA IT!
