i actually like the aaliyah track (more for the beat than the vocals). i
don't know if you've heard the meateaters track yet ("you blow my mind"
--features jake wherry of herbalizer fame on the production tip), but i
think
you'll hear a lot more of this idea. some of it will probably be good, most
will not--most *music* sucks, not genres, but the actual tunes.

r&b is also the mother of, and mining ground for hiphop, rock, reggae,
techno
(the detroit stuff at least--where would inner city be w/o motown's
influence?) and other forms which contributed to the birth & development of
d&b... if you listen to "new forms" by roni size/reprazent, you'll hear
what
i mean. btw, roni's playlist includes that meateater's track--a real
r&b-ish
d&b track.
