Portishead are to preview their new material on the Internet on July 24. The
band will be appearing with a 30-piece orchestra at New York venue The
Roseland to lay tracks from their new, self-titled album, set for release by
Go! Beat on September 29, and the show will be transmitted live on the 'Net-
as will the rehearsals for the show, which can be heard on the Net on July23.
The transmission from the rehearsals will launch the band's new website.
www.portishead.co.uk will be the address to call. On July 25, the site will
transmit an international press conference.
