Down Tempo DJ's

Does anybody have a list, or know where I can find a list, of DJ's in
the LA area who spin any form of Down Tempo grooves? (aj,
abstrakt/instrumental/hip-hop, rare groove) Also, where would I get
tapes of these DJ's. I would like to organize a party, and need to
figure out if the sound is out there or not.
