Maxwell and Sweetback are pretty good albums, I highly recommend
them... Of course sweetback has more instrumentals, but the
featured vocalists include maxwell, amel larrieux(from groove
theory), rapper bahamadia and the guy(i forget his name) that
does vocals from time to time on sade's stuff(nothing can
come..., never as good etc)...when is HE going to get a solo
deal??

Actually Im surprised you dont have Maxwell yet (if you dont).

JK meaning Jay Kay of Jamiroquai??...That sounds like an
interesting pairing...tho Id take him over Diana any day...

Hi everyone!

It seems to me that I haven't heard from anyone for a long time.
Anyways, apart from just wanting to see if anyone is still out there, I
was wondering if anyone out there has heard of "Maxwell" or "Sweetback"?
I know you probably wouldn't consider them to be AJ, but they're
probably more like soul--close enough!

Well, if you've heard their music, or any reviews, I'd be interested in
hearing from you.

BTW, did anyone else see JK perform with Diana Ross at the Brit awards?
He's sooo delicious! "Upside-down. You know you turn me,
inside-out..."

One last thing...
if you've heard the new BNH single tell me what you think!

Later.
mel.
