I haven't really heard much of the Prototype Years compilation (I may go
and buy it). But I find it hard to beleive that it can be a lot better
than the Torque (No U-Turn) compilation which I think is superb - but
then that's probably just because I love that Ed Rush sound. Another
fine'n'dark compilation is "Tech Stepping" on Emotif/SOUR which features
mainly the same people as on Torque (but under different names) and is a
little more varied than Torque - it also features the hard to find DJ
Trace remix of Mutant Jazz by T Power and Mk Ultra (renamed "The
Mutant").

I am looking forward very much to the "V Classics" compilation
(featuring Roni Size, DJ Die, DJ Krust, etc.) which looks brilliant
although I it's release has rather annoyingly been put back.
In the meantime allow me to rave about the new single from Boymerang -
"Soul Beat Running" which combines a lush melody and a dark bass-line
rather superbly (in my opinion).

P.S. Does anybody know when Photek's album is supposed to be coming out?
