Another possibility is the Roni Size "New Forms" 12" on Talkin' Loud which
features Bahamadia on the B side...sounds like what you're describing
("real" drum and bass sounds, female spoken word vocal), except I don't
remember the string stabs.... They could be there though, sometimes I
don't hear all the parts of a song at once...
