Buckshot Lefonque live show in NY !!!

I managed to make it out to Branford's Funk Fest last nite even though I
have a cold and it was raining and I am so glad I did. The show was
burnin' and the level of professional playing was amazing. Playing all
styles from funk to jazz to heavy metal to soul r&b ballad to jungle
this band can really burn. DJ Apollo was amazing on the "wheels of
steel" as brandford likes to call them, keeping the crowd going during
his moment of feature. Also Roy Hardgrove sat in on trumpet - on of
those little tiny flugelhorns (??? its about 1/2 size). There were
tapers there so its on DAT. But I would recommend this tour to anyone
interested in great music that spans beyond simple boundaries to create
a modern fusion of pure music.
