DJ Shadow article

So to follow up on the thread a couple of months ago, I read in Keyboard
magazine last night that DJ Shadow used only an Akai MPC60II sampler, a
turntable and an ADAT to make Endtroducing. I remember the discussion we had
about whether or not MIDI was involved - well I guess no MIDI per se was
involved but obviously some programming was done with the internal sequencer
on the Akai, and there was lots of overdubbing using the tape machine.

It's a great article, he's definitely a proponent of the "it's not how much
you have but what you make of what you have" theory and I always find that to
quite inspiring when I think about making music with technology. If you're
always feeling that your tracks are bad because you don't have the right
sample, it may imply that you haven't explored all the options available
within the sample you're using. Of course, having an incredible record
library like Shadow's helps.
