Hi List!

Did anyone here see the Million Dollar Men at HeebieJeebies (Seel
Street, Liverpool) on Saturday the 11th)? That was a really, really good
night, I thought. It was my first time at the club, and I will definitely be
going there again. (e.g. November ~17th, when Ninja Tune's Herbaliser and
Up, Bustle and Out are playing).
Apparently, the Men have some tracks coming out on CD soon, but the
guitarist wasn't very informative on this point, although he did mention
that they were playing live on Jazz FM (100.40) on November the 7th.
Still on Liverpool clubs, I can also recommend the Zanzibar on a
Saturday night, live bands sometimes, and a DJ spinning up really mellow
hip-hop. Wednesday nights (Nice & Easy) are also good for Drum&Bass.
If anyone knows of any other good nights out in Liverpool, let me know, as
I'm keen to avoid going to house clubs. At all costs :)
On another note, was anyone else here as blown away by Luke Vibert's
'Big Soup' (Mo Wax) as me? I've been listening to a lot of blunted hip-hop
recently (9 lazy 9, Up Bustle & Out, DJ Shadow type stuff), but I found
Vibert's approach quite different and refreshing. I'd be interested to hear
what people think...

Cheers,
Tim Kemp
