Hate to disappoint you but I've been working (flying in an out of on a
weekly basis) in Dallas since the spring and the only AJ activity I have
noticed was the Coolbone show last week in Ft. Worth and a Maxwell show
earlier in the summer. I also travel to Chicago and/or Toronto to take in
the soundz. Hope you like driving an F150. Let me know if you find
anything.
Peace.
Mitch

Subject: Does Dallas = Acid Jazz?

I'm trying to get over some prejudices, and assume that there are Cowboys
who like jazz
(rustling cows has got to give a guy an appetite for more than just cheese
burgers) just kidding just kidding please no angry Texans...

I say that because there's a good chance that I'll be moving to Dallas
(it'll be
tough, moving from the hot bed of acid jazz that is West Lafayette,
Indaina). I
will definitely be there during Halloween though. I have meetings with a
company down there all day Friday and Saturday, but my evenings are free.
I
need to know that I can have as much fun there as I can in Chicago.
(ummmm, I'm
not issuing this as a challenge to anyone though...)

If anybody has any suggestions (and directions or a phone number) it'd be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Carly

Oh yeah, and did I miss the thread comparing Block Rockin' Beats to song 6
on
The In Sound From Way Out, but, well, on speed?
