I really like the Squirrel Nut Zippers, but then again I have a biased
opinion. I used to work for a band called Phish as a sound person. I got
really fed up there EGO and all the bullshit that followed- I was at this
fair last spring and was introduced to the SNZ manager, we hit it off and
he said they were looking for someone experienced to do sound for them in
Japan this summer, I said hell yes, quite Phish and a month later was
rockin the boards in Tokyo- They are one of the most High energy,
professional organizations on the road today- we had upwards of 16
musicians and a slew of techs and we never ran into any problems- ontop of
which I have to give it up to the Japanese music goers some of the most
gracious fans out there- I have worked sound in small clubs, and 50,000+
stadiums and never had as wonderful experience as I did the 6 weeks I
worked for the Squirrel Nut Zippers!
There music is a cross between Benny Goodman, and the Greyboy Allstars,
Grey Boy's first disk- Get ready to rock, however if your into electronics
stay home and watch M-TV jams because everything at a Squirrel Nut Zipper
show is Humanly Created and really leaves the musically educated standing
in AWE!

Peace
