Since no one's mentioned Sekou Sundiata and the 'Blue Oneness of Dreams'
I thought that I'd go on record as recommending him for those who like,
or might be interested, in 'spoken word' recordings. As Cartmann would
say "Kick Ass!".

That sounds really interesting. I've been listening to
kerouac/kicks joy
darkness and William Burroughs with Material/Bill Laswell and I
guess i'm
all geared up for a Beat season this summer. Any suggestions
about what I
should listen to next? Any recent spoken word+jazz I should
check out as
well?

BTW, I really like the Last Poets and Gil Scott-Heron, and this
group called
'Watts Prophets' are often mentioned in the same breath. Anyone
heard of
them?
