The SKYBAR: SETTIN' IT OFF - THE OPENING PARTY

At The Guvernment Nightclubs Skybar before the panoramic backdrop of
Toronto's skyline and lakefront the live drum n' bass sounds of Sourfly,
DJ vibes by Denise Benson and Gerald Belanger of Kinder Atom will keep the
party humming till late. Aurally stimulating, highly dancable and much
fun.

THE UNTOUCHABLE OUTCASTE BEATS TOUR FEATURING BADMARSH AND SHRI with
NIGHTMARES ON WAX

Four years strong, London England's Outcaste label is home for South Asian
music makers on the edge. having released critically acclaimed albums by
Nitin Sawney and Shri, as well as the 'Untouchable Outcaste Beats'
compilation, the label brings us Badmarsh and Shri's innovative n'
gorgeous 'Dancing Drums' through Tommy Boy Records in the U.S. and BMG
Canada set to release both of these CD's. Badmarsh and Shri are taking
their considerable talents on the road.

featuring the live bass of Shri, tablas by Aref, the vocals of Tina Brown

performing their signature blend of downtempo, ambient dub, drum n' bass

BAUHAUS 31 Mercer St.: THE TALKIN' LOUD PARTY featuring GILLES
PETERSON and JASON PALMA

Street jazz evangelist, the man behind Talkin' Loud Records which counts
Roni Size and Reprazent, Incognito, Nuyorican Soul, 4Hero and numerous
other jazz infused artists shows and proves that he's still on the cutting
edge. Gilles makes his debut Toronto visit when he drops into the regular
Overproof Friday club night hosted by Hot Stepper Productions and Whaaat
promotions with Jason Palma (CIUT -Higher Ground, Bump N' Hustle) moving
the crowd in the lounge.

THE OPERA HOUSE: THE FUNK HITS THE FANS

We are very pleased to welcome to Toronto for the very first time,
Ovum/Sony recording artists

SYLK 130 the heart-and-soul project of Philadelphia fly guy King Britt
. This soul, funk, jazz, spoken word, hip hop collective collective will
mix their blast from the past with 90's sensibilities and style. For more

Representing for Toronto will be a special Bump N' Hustle presentation of
soul diva Divine Earth Essence backed by Panic with DJs Mike Tull and Paul
E. Lopes who will keep the dance floor rocking long after the live sets.
King Britt will also mash up the dqnce floor. Later in the evening we get
into funky jazzy house with Chicago's J-Dub and Montreal's Fred
Everything. We won't stop the party rock till 6:00 AM!

THE RIVOLI: THE POCKET DWELLERS with A.K.A. and DJ SERIOUS

Hip hop jazz funkers Pocket Dwellers crank out their energetic vibes at
the Riv with A.K.A. featuring microphone fiend Phatt Al . DJ Serious pumps
out the dancefloor jams - lovely!

Finally on a personal note... thanks to all those that came out and made
the Bump N' Hustle Festival so fly! Zapp and Roger turned out the olds
school vibe with an excellent show, Herbaliser live with Dream Warriors,
Esthero, Blaxam, Kardinal Offishall, two nights of Bump N' Hustle revue
jams DJs Paul E. Lopes, Mike Tull, Jason Palma and guest Ali B from The
Bluenote in London turned it out! Over 4000 attendees over 3 days - whew
