* I'm enjoying the new Medeski Martin & Wood CD, "Combustication". Yep, DJ
Logic's on the disc, and it's a great combination, and just as cool as the
live show. Lots of really out stuff, some spoken word, a really cool track
called "Latin Shuffle" (kinda mind numbing), some great funky tracks, and a
hidden "song" at the end. Since I started listening to mmw I have bought a
distortion pedal and a wah pedal for my midi setup, and I can't get enough
of that fuzz-wah-clavinet/fuzz-rhodes/fuzz-hammond sound.
* Folks in Portland USA: Maceo Parker is at the Crystal Ballroom in PDX on
Sept. 8
* I'm trying to learn about Wurlitzer organs, like the one John Medeski
plays. Anyone know what kind that is?
