Since its that time of the year, I wouldn't mind getting some insights
on how to make the usual holiday schmatz a bit more bearable. So what's
you fav funky xmas jams?

Recently I scored the James Brown xmas album that has the track "Santa
Claus Goes Straight to the Ghetto". Good shit! Is there another JB
record that has the song "Santa's got a brand new bag"?

Also, I hear Booker T and the Mg's xmas record is smokin', but I've only
seen it once on vinyl (for like 250 bucks!). I have an Atlantic sampler
that has a few of those tracks plus Joe Tex and Wilson Pickett.

The Jimmy McGriff xmas records is allright, Ramsey Lewis has two quality
jazzy winter wonderland albums, have a good blues xmas comp with Lowell
Fulsom and Jimmy Witherspoon. Like the Run DMC jam "Christmas in
Hollis" and Kurtis Blow has a dope Christmas Song.

Others?
