True! You know your shit, man. Do you know how I can get a hold of their
mgmt. to book them in Phoenix!!!!! They're playing at the Smokin'
Grooves show in August, but i'd like to see 'em in a more intimate funky
club, with guest dj's like myself! Also when is the Tribe Called Quest
record coming out. Does anyone know? If any you dig the bands we've been
mentioning I got this new project set for release in Sept. called
Universal Brothers. Sort of a cross between Gangstarr, Pharcyde, Roots,
and a real dose of Drum and Bass. and deep futuristic funkiness and
Space Jazz! I know a big mix there, but the music is a head of it's
time. Lyrically the MC's Im working with got superior skills and
Positive Mindz (the Pure & Wyze Foundation). Keep you ears out for us!

True, but if they think they suck, then I'd like to hear *why* they suck.
Besides, they're a new act (at least out there to the rest of the world),
and it's like these people think they know their whole careers.
Besides, I think a lot of it has to do with them not liking hip-hop music
with any sort of jazzy element in it (their Roots comparisons sort of
indicate that The Roots are some sort of freak act) and maybe a little
uneasiness about the multicultural makeup of the Peas - the MCs are of
Black, Latino, Native American and Asian (Filipino) heritage, and the
backing band is mostly white (I understand some people aren't used to that
kind of thing).
