hello fellow listees,

Firstly, a hello and thank-you to everyone who came out to the Jaz Klash
gigs in Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal - much sweaty fun had by all;
hopefully we'll see them again. On a related tip, Smith & Mighty and More
Rockers (Rob Smith and Peter D of the latter are also 2/3 of the former)
will be DJ'ing their way through parts of the U.S. in September and
October, mainly in support of the Smith & Mighty DJ Kicks album. I'll post
the dates here when I know 'em.

Also, I'm heading over to Holland this Friday, and staying for two weeks.
Not surprisingly, I'm wondering about clubs, dj's, bands, record shops,
cafes, bookstores etc. - dub, downtempo, leftfield, d&b, jazz etc. I'm into
live stuff as well as sweaty small and mid-sized clubs. Any suggestion
Jeroen or anyone? Locale wise, I'm talking Amsterdam, Rotterdam and a
number of smaller places like Utrecht, Eindhoven, Leiden etc.

Finally, just to bring this all together....Rob and Peter as More Rockers
will be spinning twice in Holland over the next little while. I think one
of the dates is Aug. 2 in Utrecht, but I've gotta confirm with them. Anyone
interested in knowing more?

Peace out ya'll. Soon Carlos Mondesir or I will be posting about the JVC
Urban Rhythm Festival happening here in Toronto from Wed. Aug. 26 to Sat.
Aug. 29 with lotsa great live acts and dj's. Pencil us in your calendars.
Ciao for now.
