Can't help concerning the new album. I've heard a lot of their older stuff
as The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and they are great. Thought I'd post that
they are opening for the Greyboy Allstars in Boulder on the 30th of July.

Saw Spearhead at the Lodo Music Festival in Denver on Friday night. They
were great. I wasn't expecting much (the rap-oriented bands I usually see
live are disappointing to say the least) but they came out with a energized
full band and played a funk-filled set that kept the crowd bouncing the
whole time. They even covered some P-Funk. Too bad the sound system was weak.

Also caught the Morphine show. They sounded cold and dry, without an ounce
of groove. Blah.
