Elson,

It's interesting that you would mention the 'quickness' with which the
track was prepared. Originally, the tune was going to be called
"Godzilla is a Killer" but Sony rejected the original lyrics. They
didn't Godzilla 'portrayed in a negative light' (go firgure!) And to
top it off, they had about an hour to come up with new lyrics.
Apparently there are a some remixes, all prepared by Jamiroquai (they
prefer doing their own versus Todd Terry or Morales). I'm not sure if
the official page has remix info yet. The URL is
http://www.jamiroquai.co.uk The band admitted that the only reason
they did the tune was to keep their name alive while the work on the
new album. I don't think the tune will be on the new album
(tentatively scheduled for April 1999) but it may be a slight taste of
the different sound that they're experimenting with. The band has been
pretty vague about the new sound--other than to say that they would
experiment with drum machines and a slight techno/electro sound.
