mp3 questions?

Maybe I'm slow picking up on things but...is this whats going on?

Major labels are called major because they own manufacturing facilites and
distribution networks.

Big indies have distribution deals with majors.

As the mp3 (whatever format) stuff grows, the majors will continue to drag
their feet because the plants and fleets of trucks and all the people they
employ will become less valuable. The indies with distribution deals can't
go along because they're still waiting to get paid for the big records
that are distributed through the majors. And the indies who distribute
through smaller distributers are stuck because if the distributer goes out
of business then the label won't get paid for the records that are out
right now.

So what happens next?
