Wait till you hear the new Jamiroquai material coming out in a few months :)

The only thing I see that a lot of modern electronic music lacks is a good
melody. I know some have the philosophy of "It's not supposed to have
melody" or "Melody makes it sound pop, and therefore it will suck" but come
on, how many songs in the electronica realm make you whistle or hum it
during a random part of your day?

A few weeks ago, I heard a trancey-style remix of Sara McLachlan's "Sweet
Surrender" on the radio. The wistful melody was already set, and instead of
distracting the song or sounding like a gimmick, the sequenced filter
swirls totally added to what the song conveyed. I thought at that moment,
"THAT's what electronica's supposed to sound like." I'd like to see an
original tune convey some sort of melody. The closest thing I can think of
is Everything But The Girl's last album, but Thorn and Watt have been
writing melodies for years already.
