I'm using a pair of Gale Mini Monitor L.E's at the moment, and the sound is
incredible for such little boxes, lovely deep warm bass but for a larger
room they don't fill it, which is why I'm getting a pair of Gale 4i
floorstanders, and filling them with sand. The 4i's are incredible value for
money, considering you can get them for 150ukp through Richer Sounds, about
1/2 rrp.

If you're loaded, go for a set of Mission floorstanders, my mate (a drum &
bass DJ, as in plays clubs as well as his bedroom) uses them for his
outhouse studio, and the noise he gets from those is phenomenal, they suit
his style of music well too (Jazzy ambient d&b as well as AJ).
